JOB OPPORTUNITIES

The project “Study on policy recommendations to support for development of small and medium enterprises in agricultural sector and rural areas – phase II + III ” (SMEs project) is sponsored by Spanish International Cooperation Agency (AECID) for the duration of 2 years of 2009-2010 with the purpose of providing policy recommendations to facilitate the growth of agricultural and rural SMEs in Vietnam so as to generate more employment for rural labor, increase rural incomes and promote the competitive power of enterprises.

The Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agriculture and Rural development (IPSARD) is assigned as an implementation agency for the SMEs project with a Project Management Unit (PMU) based in the Institute. In order to deploy the activities of phase II + III, PMU is looking for experienced and qualified Vietnamese candidates for the position of project coordinator:

01 PROJECT COORDINATOR:

1. Work with donor and report on the activities of the project as required;

2. Liaise, coordinate and work with partners, local authorities, ministries, relating organizations and agencies to implement activities of the project;

3. Design and make action and financial plans for smoothly execution of the project

4. Monitor and make process report, financial report and operation report of the project implementation according to current Vietnam government and Donor’s regulation

5. Team management and coordination,

6. Organize activities in the frame of the project: events, training courses, workshops, etc;

7. Assist Project Steering Committee (PSC) and Project Management Unit (PMU) in day-to-day activities and as required;

8. Maintain good relationship with partners and to participate in public presentations of project achievements.

Requirements

· Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in business or project management (Master degree is an advantage)

· At least 2 years working experience in similar positions

· Ability to work autonomously and lead a team,

· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

· Competence in problem solving,

· Good command of English and competent in using Windows application software, knowledge in financial software is an advantage

· Knowledge and experience in the field of enterprise, agriculture and rural policy formulation and development is an advantage

· Experience in working with ODA Projects, NGOs, decision and policy makers is an advantage.
